On Tuesday night The Austonian celebrated reaching its construction midpoint with a party on the 19th floor of the building, which is under construction at the corner of 2nd and Congress. Over 400 Austinites joined The Austonian team for hors d'oeuvres, great conversation and breathtaking views of the Austin skyline. When complete, the building will stand at 56 stories, making it the tallest residential building West of the Mississippi.

Kick off the holiday season right by joining KUT’s John Aielli and the Downtown Austin Alliance for the Annual Holiday Sing-Along, Tree Lighting and Congress Stroll on Saturday, Dec. 6th.
This Austin tradition, which is free to the public, starts with the 6:00 p.m. Sing-Along and Tree Lighting with KUT at the south steps of the Texas State Capitol. Following the Sing-Along the crowd is invited to listen to live music and enjoy the stores and sights in downtown Austin.. Shops, restaurants, galleries and museums on Congress and in the 2nd Street District will be open until 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Stop by 3rd and Congress during the stroll and enjoy a bag of kettle corn courtesy of The Austonian.
