Scheduled to open in 2010, The Austonian will offer over 40,000 square feet of amenities to residents and their invited guests. These amenities include a luxurious and versatile space for dining and entertainment: the 55th-floor Austonian Club. The interiors are complemented by views of the Texas State Capitol and Lady Bird Lake from the highest outdoor terraces in Austin.
Designed by award-winning interior design firm Gary Lee Partners, The Austonian Club encompasses 6,000 square feet of entertaining space appropriate for uses ranging from quiet drinks for two to a cocktail party for 250. The space, which offers 360-degree views of Austin and the surrounding Hill Country, allows for flexible room configurations. The standard layout includes the following: The Café, The Lounge, a Private Dining area and the Event Room.
The Café, furnished with three four-person tables, is a great space for hosting small tea parties and lunches or enjoying a morning cup of coffee paired with unparalleled views of the city.
The most relaxed area on the Club floor is The Library, which includes a flat screen television, sofas and comfortable lounge chairs. The interior design maintains The Austonian’s signature style – one of comfortable luxury – with mohair and velvet upholstery, suede lounge chairs and custom silk rugs. Bronze and limestone cocktail tables also adorn the space.
Next to The Library is the Private Dining area, which seats 12. Warm walnut millwork and an eye-catching iron chandelier frames the space, which is adjacent to a catering kitchen. The Austonian residents may bring in their personal caterer or choose from a list of preferred providers.
More about The Austonian Club, including information about the Event Room, will be covered in our next post.
