The Austonian Lobby: Elegant Interior Design by Gary Lee Partners
Designed by award-winning international firm Gary Lee Partners, the interiors of The Austonian marry a respect for the modern architecture with international design and Texas culture. The resulting design is elegant and comfortable and evokes feelings of home the instant one enters the building. As we begin our blog series covering The Austonian’s interior design, we start with the lobby.
Entering the lobby from Second Street, one will find warm walnut paneling dressing the area, which includes intimate seating areas incorporating leather upholstery and hair-on-hide lounge chairs. Throughout the lobby a connection to the outdoors will be drawn by cream limestone flooring laid out in an oversized ashlar pattern, which is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional outdoor stone motif. A pair of custom-crafted bronze chandeliers will adorn the room and warm bronze tones will accent tables and the reception desk.
The lobby is one of many amenities available to residents of The Austonian and their invited guests. Over the coming weeks, we will explore other parts of the 40,000-plus square feet of private amenities that will be available to those who call The Austonian home.
