The 3rd annual Urban Farm Bicycle Tour, a family-friendly event for Austin foodies and cyclists, is taking place this Saturday, December 4th. Held in conjunction with Austin’s Eat Local Week, the bicycle tour is a fundraiser hosted by Edible Austin that raises money for Urban Roots. Urban Roots is a youth development program that uses sustainable agriculture as a means to transform the lives of young people and increase the access of healthy food in Austin.
This year’s bike tour features new farm and garden stops, food samples by local chefs at each stop along the tour, and raffle prizes. There are four starting points for the tour, one of which is downtown at Republic Square Park.
Registration is $25 for individuals and $40 for families and available at this Eat Local Week website.
