Is Downtown Living More Expensive?

_MG_0756sdp A homeowner at The Austonian recently compared the cost of living at The Austonian with the cost of maintaining and living in the West Austin home they left behind. The comparison resulted in an estimated savings of over $5,000 per year after paying their Homeowners Association (HOA) dues.

The analysis included expenses such as electricity, water, insurance, pool maintenance, security, landscaping maintenance, home exterior maintenance, pest control and cable.

The homeowner moved from 4,700 square feet to 2,000 square feet. In addition to real cost savings, life at The Austonian also includes 40,000 square feet of common area living space including a screening room, billiard and game room, pool, spa, pet park, 55th-floor private club and 56th-floor gym. Additional services provided at The Austonian include round-the-clock concierge and valet service. All of these services and amenities are available to Austonian residents at no cost.
