Construction Updates from the 10th Floor Rooftop Garden

Pool1 This week, construction continues on The Austonian in preparation for the WSL Showhouse on May 15-16 and the building opening this June.

In the 10th floor Lawn area, the saltwater pool is full and ready for swimming and lounging. Lined with 1-inch opalescent blue mosaic tiles, the pool is 3 feet 10 inches in depth and 75 feet long. Pool design elements include an in-water lounge area and eight foaming bubbler fountains. Adjacent to the pool is a saltwater spa that seats up to seven people.

The pool is surrounded by eight luxury cabanas and a reflecting pool with stainless-steel sculpture by local artist Shawn Smith. Two outdoor kitchens are located nearby.

Landscaping, stonework and furnishings in The Lawn area create distinct areas where residents may dine, take in the sun and relax. The area employs green landscape architecture principles including native plantings and irrigation with condensation harvested from the building’s central cooling system.

These smart features, paired with panoramic views of the Texas Capitol, Lady Bird Lake and the surrounding Hill Country, make The Austonian Lawn the finest pool area in Austin.
